SWD Urethane declared that its sprayfoam insulation products Quik-Shield 106 and Quik-Shield 112 have received the Children & Schools certification from the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute.
The environmental institute is established to protect human health by improving the quality of indoor air by lessening the pollutants and other chemicals in the air. GREENGUARD is an ISO-IEC Guide 65:1996 accredited arbitrator institution.
Quik-Shield 106 is one among the two exclusive open cell spray-foams that has achieved the GREENGUARD certification and is one among the principal 1/2 lb sprayfoams currently existing. It supplies a matured 1” r-value above 4, and regarded for its low odor quality. Quik-Shield 106 is also approved by ICC and CCMC. The Quik-Shield 112 is a 2lb foam and is one among the five GREENGUARD certified closed cell sprayfoams. The foam that can be used along with low temperature substrates is CCMC and ICC approved. This product is available in an intense cold formula.
The GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification Program follows stringent standards in the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and interior air quality. This program is cited by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), building evaluation system and Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS). Products that are certified by GREENGUARD are said to be ideal for use in places where children and others work, live or play.
