Skanska Bags Contract to Design and Construct School in London

Skanska (STO:SKAB) will be responsible for the technical design and construction of the Isaac Newton Academy, which will accommodate about 1,250 students aged between 11 and 19 years.

The project comprises an 11,500-square-meter building, divided into four schools for various levels. Each school will have separate entrances and schoolyards.

The school building will be designed and constructed to meet stringent environmental requirements, with a particular focus on energy efficiency.

Construction work will commence immediately and will be completed in time for the new school year in summer 2012.
