Haven Custom Homes, a leader in the construction of custom modular homes for more than 40 years, has acquired a new production facility in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
The facility was previously part of Penn Lyon Homes, a modular home manufacturer who closed their doors last summer. The company also announced that Ed Langley, former CEO of Excel Homes LLC, is the interim President and CEO with the departure of Jerry Smalley.
The new plant in Selinsgrove will allow Haven Homes to expand its product offering while providing builders and homeowners with a wide selection of products at competitive pricing. Haven will apply its commitment to excellence in our upcoming new line of homes -- Classic Homes by Haven. Production is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2011.
The new production facility in Selinsgrove will also bring employment opportunities to the area with a particular need for trained and skilled craftsmen.
"Haven Homes is the most recognized brand name in custom modular building. They have a long-standing history and reputation for unique custom capabilities, quality and craftsmanship. I'm very pleased to join their team and assist in the endeavor of expanding their product line with the Selinsgrove facility," says Langley.
Haven's production facility in Bellefonte, PA will continue to manufacture the company's highly customized homes under a new division name -- The Presidential Division.
Both facilities will design, build, transport and set high quality custom homes backed by exceptional customer service and a continued reputation for excellence.
In order to meet the needs of a growing customer base, Haven Custom Homes has realigned its senior management team.
As previously noted, Ed Langley, former CEO of Excel Homes LLC, joined Haven as Chairman of the Board at the company's holding firm, Wind River Holdings.
Jerry Smalley has stepped down as Haven's President and CEO. Jerry will continue to be part of the Haven family as a builder in the Baltimore area.
Langley will serve as Haven's interim President and CEO while the company completes their search for a permanent Chief Executive.
Robert Dippel joins the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Bob has been working with Haven Custom Homes as a consultant and was previously the CFO of Excel Homes, LLC for approximately ten years.
Greg Alia, with Haven since 2006, has been promoted to General Manager of Haven's Presidential division.
Andrew Peters joins Haven as its Human Resources Executive. Andy has over thirty years experience with a number of companies, large and small.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to work with Bob, Greg and Andy as we grow our business, provide exceptional products and create jobs in central Pennsylvania," says Chairman Ed Langley.
