CEOs of ICI Homes, Newland Communities Win 12th Annual Hearthstone BUILDER Humanitarian Award

Mori Hosseini, chairman and CEO of Florida-based home builder ICI Homes, and Robert McLeod, chairman and CEO of California-based developer Newland Communities, are the winners of the 12th Annual Hearthstone BUILDER Humanitarian Award.

To honor the winners and support their continued philanthropic efforts, the Hearthstone BUILDER Award Foundation will make cash contributions of $100,000 to charities designated by Hosseini and McLeod.

“Since 2000, the Hearthstone BUILDER Awards have celebrated the personal commitment of professionals across the housing industry to improve their communities through sustained contributions of time, resources and financial support,” said Boyce Thompson, editorial director of BUILDER. “This year’s honorees join an esteemed group of leaders truly making a difference. We applaud them for their benevolence and dedication to excellence.”

Hearthstone BUILDER Humanitarian Award winners are selected from an open call for nominations and reviewed by a panel of industry leaders. The 2011 recipients will be honored at an awards gala on January 13 at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida. They will also be profiled in the February 2011 issue of BUILDER magazine.
