B+H Combines Practices with Reno C. Negrin Architects and CHIL Design Group

B+H announced today that the architecture and interior design practices of Reno C. Negrin Architects [RCNA] and the CHIL Design Group [CHIL] have merged with B+H.

The hospitality interior design practice will now be known as B+H CHIL Design and will operate out of a joint Vancouver office with B+H BuntingCoady. RCNA's architecture practice and multi-unit residential work in British Columbia will continue under the banner of B+H BuntingCoady.

Founded over 40 years ago by the late Reno C. Negrin, RCNA and CHIL Design Group are established integrated practices in Vancouver specializing in hotels, resorts, and large-scale residential developments. Their distinguished portfolio comprises major projects for leading real estate developers in British Columbia and over 70 significant hospitality projects in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, the Pacific, the Caribbean, Central and South America, the United States and Canada including the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, The Four Seasons Private Residences in Whistler, the Honua Kai resort in Hawaii and interiors for Shangri-La Hotels in Vancouver and Toronto.

"We're delighted to welcome RCNA and CHIL to B+H," said Bill Nankivell, Chief Executive Officer, B+H. "Their expertise in the design of hospitality and leisure environments complements our work and enhances our ability to provide clients with the distinctive and branded environments that are the hallmark of hospitality design."

B+H is expanding throughout the world, with new offices in Asia and the Middle East. Tourism in these areas is growing rapidly, and the World Tourism Organization recently announced that China will become the world's top travel destination by 2020. Due to this explosion in the tourism industry, many of B+H's Asian clients now require innovative hotel and hospitality developments to attract travelers.

"This is an exciting area of practice that is in great demand in many of our key sectors," said Dan McAlister, Chairman, B+H. "We look forward to working together to provide clients in emerging tourism markets with uniquely designed properties and our customary level of service."

RCNA/CHIL's extensive multi-unit residential portfolio also compliments B+H's expertise. Reno Negrin's son, the late Richard Negrin, took over the firm in the 1990s and expanded its portfolio to include high-rise and high-end residential design. Key projects have included Greata Ranch in Kelowna and Kings Landing and The Erickson, both in Vancouver.

"We are proud to join forces with B+H," said CHIL Design Director, Paul Morissette. "We have had the privilege of designing some of the world's top hotels and resorts. As members of the B+H team we can now offer clients a full range of design, technical and project management services and work on a wider assortment of large-scale projects across the globe - an exciting prospect we look forward to!"
