EcoBlu Products, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: ECOB) announced today that six structures out of twelve in the EcoLife Village at Carrefour have already been erected.
EcoBlu Products is working on Light Ministries property building a master planned EcoLife Village to include a total of nine homes, one medical building, one bath house, laundry community kitchen and a waste management facility all off the grid. The goal is to utilize the EcoLife Village in the middle of Carrefour as a model community demonstrating EcoBlu's plan to build 100 house communities all secured behind fencing on government property. Each EcoLife Village will change the lives of 500 people in Haiti. Carrefour Mayor Yvon Jerome was present during construction and presented EcoBlu with the keys to the city and expressed his desire to build these communities on the governments land.
Mayor Yvon Jerome took Steve Conboy in his armored jeep for a 2 hour drive looking at future properties where mayor Yvon expressed the desire to build master planned communities of homes. Additionally Conboy was meeting with the Director des Operations of Healing Hands for Haiti, Antonio Ke'breau, Jr. discussing the rebuilding of Haiti. The local News USAID covered the story about EcoBlu in Carrefour and building the EcoLife Village off the grid and hooking up to a sanitation system so these communities no longer affect the ground water.
"My plan is to use USA home builder trained superintendants to go into Haiti and build whole house communities that are pre fabricated in the USA with EcoBlu Protected lumber," said Steve Conboy, President and CEO of EcoBlu Products. "My philosophy is if we can go off shore to places like Haiti and Africa to erect American style houses we will not only help those in need but also help the USA economy," added Conboy.
