Solar Gard has announced it will be exhibiting its range of solar-control and security window films at The Big 5 Exhibition, Dubai, as part of its expansion plans across the Middle East region. Solar Gard will be appearing at stand 6 G264.
The exhibition, running from November 22-25 2010 at Dubai’s World Trade Centre, will reveal the latest trends, products and innovations across the building and architecture industries.
Solar Gard will be demonstrating the benefits of its carbon negative architectural solar control window films. By rejecting up to 80 percent of solar energy from entering the building, energy consumption for cooling can be reduced by up to 30 percent, enabling lower internal temperatures without over-reliance on additional cooling systems.
Furthermore, with Solar Gard’s combined solar safety and security film range, a building can install toughened security measures with the addition of solar control benefits. By holding glass pieces together in the event of accidental breakage or a bomb blast, the risks of injury from broken or flying glass are greatly reduced.
Peter Staelens, regional manager for EMEA at Solar Gard, comments: “The issues of solar heat gain and security are of critical importance to companies across the Middle East. With our range of solar safety and security films, the features offering cooler internal temperatures and enhanced safety are combined into a single product.”
Solar Gard is offering a free glazing energy analysis to businesses that visit the booth. This provides a first step in precisely measuring the reduction in solar heat gain through the installation of solar control window film, along with the subsequent reduction in carbon emissions required to power the air conditioning.
