Dynapac is launching a new range of tracked asphalt pavers with advanced features designed to appeal to owners, operators and service crews as well as to offer environmental benefits.
Six new tracked asphalt pavers, with a working width from 2 mtr. to 14 mtr., will be introduced by Dynapac in January 2011.
The two conventionally controlled pavers F2500C & F2500CS as well as the four plc-controlled pavers SD2500C / SD2500CS / SD2550C / SD2550CS are designed to meet the needs of contractors, communities and rental companies around the world. They will replace Dynapac’s popular F121C / F141C / SD115C / SD135C / F181C / F182CS machines.
The most remarkable features are the slidable operator´s platform on SD-series and the safe-impact-system as option for improved and safe docking of truck. All pavers have the option of larger and wider hoppers (elongated on SD2550 C / SD2550 CS), wider conveyors and slimmer auger drives, which lead to a smooth material transport through the paver with less segregation and excellent paving results.
Maximizing availability
Dynapac introduces a large number of features to the new F-series and SD-series to make service and maintenance quick and easy, ensuring maximum availability of the pavers with less downtime.
Each of the new models is powered by a Cummins QSB 6.7 water-cooled turbo-diesel engine. The rated power is 110kW or 129kW at 2200 rpm for the F2500 C / F2500 CS; 129W or 149kW @ 2200 rpm for the SD2500 C and SD2500 CS, and finally 176 kW or 194 kW @ 2200 rpm for the SD2550 C / SD2550 CS. The new models – equipped with screed - have a total weight of 18.5t to 19.6t.
Service is made simple by many effective designs, such as concentrating pumps to one side. The total number of hydraulic couplings has been reduced significantly. This also reduces the risk of leaks.
This range of articulated small tandem asphalt rollers is no exception; our quiet, safe, reliable and easy to handle rollers will most likely exceed customers’ expectations.
Top quality results
The new paver range has been designed to achieve high quality paving results through operational features such as an electronically controlled main drive. This keepsg the preselected paving speed constant, allowing even an inexperienced paver operator to start and stop with minimized marks.
Putting the operator in control
One of the ways to achieve high quality paving is to optimize the ergonomics, ensuring that operators have continuous visibility of the operation and comfortable access to the controls. All machines feature full visibility over all working areas (hopper, auger and screed).
The clear and newly designed control panel gives operators the information they need. All the gauges are displayed – rpm, fuel, voltage, number of hours, and more. on the SD-series the operator can change between the different menus at the touch of a button.
Environmental benefits
A key feature from Dynapac is the decision to equip the engines with eco-mode, which produces less noise, especially to the operator’s platform. Noise is also kept down through the use of a hydraulically driven temperature-guided cooling fan, which only operates when necessary. By this separated cooler fan drive the fuel consumption will be minimized also.
Many of the enhancements provide environmental benefits like reduced fuel consumption or quieter operation. Efficiency enhancements have saved several kW in the operation of a typical model in the range, with consequent improvements in the running costs and noise.
