Masonite International Corporation (OTCBB:MASWF) was recently honored with the 2010 Best In Class Award (BICA) in the category of Steel Exterior Doors.
Presented by the LBM Research Institute based in Lakeville, Minn., the BICAs honor outstanding building product manufacturers nationwide in comparison studies to competitive companies.
“This unaided study allows participants to name any steel exterior door company they choose as being the best in the industry in a variety of qualification categories,” says John Cashmore, executive director of the LBM Research Institute. “Given their high rankings, Masonite was clearly the winner in the Steel Exterior Door category in our online study conducted in July of 2010.”
For the BICA Exterior Door study, Masonite successfully beat out its competitors in a variety of categories, including “Brand provides my customers good value,” “Consistent product quality from door to door,” and “Material door is made of.” In addition, study results show that Masonite has several strong attributes as recognized by respondents, including “Shipment arrives undamaged,” “Packaging clearly marked as to contents,” and “On-time delivery.”
“This is the first year that the LBM Research Institute has sponsored the BICAs and we’re exceptionally pleased that Masonite had such a distinguished showing in the study,” says Cashmore. “These results demonstrate that Masonite’s products are valued by dealers and distributors nationwide for Masonite’s relationship with their customers, service and performance, and product availability.”
According to Dale Mayfield, vice president of marketing for Masonite, the BICA helps strengthen the company’s brand awareness in the marketplace. “We especially appreciate the recognition of this BICA because of the challenges in today’s economy and the overall competitive environment in the steel exterior door business,” says Mayfield. “The BICA serves as a physical salute to the team members at Masonite who work hard to produce top-quality products, customer service and marketing support on a daily basis.”
