Armourcoat CEO Wins Top Business Award

Guy Whitehead, Chief Executive of Armourcoat Surface Finishes , has won the coveted Businessman of the Year Award at this year’s prestigious Kent Business Awards. The glittering 'Oscar-style' Gala Awards Ceremony was held at the Saga Pavilion, Sandgate, Kent on the 16th June.

The Award was presented by Bob Hoad, Community Relations Director for Capital Radio Group in front of an audience of over 400 local business and civic leaders. Bob commented "Guy is clearly a dynamic leader having grown the company dramatically over the last five years, with a first class training scheme for his employees. But he is the front man who has made this business an international success with customers in over 50 countries worldwide."

The panel of judges singled Guy out from the finalists based on his energetic and enthusiastic leadership, his ability to address strategic issues and create vision for the company. Headed by Graham Webb, chairman of Graham Webb International, the judges were impressed with the overall standard of entry at this year’s Awards. "These results show that business and industry in Kent is in good shape," he said. "The judges were really impressed by the quality, flair and entrepreneurial spirit of competitors."
