Vertical V Takes Over Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Firm

Vertical V, Inc. (Vertical V), a multi-disciplined engineering and consulting firm, announces the acquisition of controlling interest in Nolte Associates, Inc. (Nolte), a full service civil and infrastructure engineering company headquartered in Sacramento, California.

Dickerson Wright, Chairman and CEO of Vertical V, will become Chairman and CEO of Nolte and had the following comment to make about the Nolte transaction, which represents the second acquisition Vertical V has completed in less than six months: "Acquiring a well-known, highly respected civil engineering firm with a long history of serving public clients in the infrastructure, transportation, and water/waste water markets has been a very high priority for our company. Nolte will not only provide us with a platform for our infrastructure engineering vertical, but it will also introduce us to opportunities in municipal outsourcing as well as support our existing construction quality assurance business line."

George S. Nolte, who will assume the role of Chairman Emeritus and key advisor to the boards of both companies, said: “From Nolte’s perspective the merger with Vertical V strengthens our organization and provides attractive opportunities for the company and its staff to expand its geographical base as well as its service line.”

Under the new corporate structure Ken Rudolph, formerly CEO of Nolte, will serve as President and Chief Operating Officer of Nolte and along with Nolte’s existing management team, most of whom will remain as shareholders, will continue to direct operations going forward. Rudolph stated: “We are very excited about the new venture with Vertical V, which we see as a partnership with Nolte playing a key role as the center piece in Vertical V’s business plan.”
