Day & Zimmermann, a nationally recognized provider of industrial, defense and workforce solutions for government and commercial customers, announced it has realigned its offerings to the power, process and industrial markets to form a new Engineering, Construction and Maintenance (ECM) group.
This new group integrates Day & Zimmermann’s former Power Services business with its Engineering, Procurement and Construction business. The ECM group, led by President Michael McMahon, will focus on providing turnkey solutions that include engineering, construction, fabrication, procurement and maintenance services. McMahon has been with Day & Zimmermann for 16 years, previously serving as president of the Power Services business.
"As a top ranked operations and maintenance contractor, Day & Zimmermann is an integral partner to our many customers in the power, process and industrial sectors," said Mike McMahon. “This new business group will allow us to further emphasize our capabilities in the maintenance area and expand our first-class engineering and construction services to a wider range of customers, enabling them to lower their total cost of ownership by consolidating services under one contractor.”
The ECM group, headquartered in Philadelphia, is comprised of the following business units:
- DZ Atlantic, with primary offices in Plano, TX and Norfolk, VA, is an open shop provider of maintenance, modification and construction services with a full-service fabrication and machining facility located in Mississippi.
- Day & Zimmermann Construction, is headquartered in Greenville, SC and delivers construction, construction management and full EPC services across all industries.
- Day & Zimmermann Engineering, also headquartered in Greenville, SC, provides a broad portfolio of engineering and design services.
- Day & Zimmermann NPS® (DZNPS), headquartered in Lancaster, PA, is a union-based provider of maintenance, modification and construction services.
“Over the years, Day & Zimmermann has developed world-class offerings in various individual business lines,” said Hal Yoh, chairman and CEO of Day & Zimmermann. “The creation of the new ECM group will allow customers to take advantage of the full scope of our product offerings across their entire enterprise. This comes at a time when corporations are looking to maximize value by concentrating their vendors and achieving greater purchasing scale. We have a great opportunity to leverage that trend for the growth of our business, and to the benefit of our customers.”
