Liebherr Exhibits New Mobile Crane at Bauma 2010

Liebherr took advantage of the Bauma 2010 to present the new compact LTC 1045-3.1 mobile crane. With its special paint finish, the “Black Panther” design, it was a highlight and a particular “eye-catcher“ in the mobile crane section of the new Liebherr fair stand.

Liebherr has already sold 70 of these compact universal cranes, and 15 orders were already placed at the Bauma alone.

The innovative cab concept is one of the features that appeals to crane operators. When travelling on the road, the cab is pushed on a telescopic arm to the front of the vehicle. In this position the view for the crane driver as well as his driving sensitivity is considerably improved, especially at higher speeds. At the Bauma, Liebherr showed the optionally available lift cab, which elevates the driver to an eye-height of 7.8 metres.

A number of customers have already decided on this variant, thanks to the additional operational possibilities it offers and its advantages over conventional units, such as for loading work in harbours.

The new crane type is at present being tested at Liebherr with a number of different equipment attachments, and series delivery is scheduled for the end of the year.
