Owens Corning (NYSE: OC) today announced its first-ever national competition to find the home with the best roof makeover using the company's Duration® Series Designer Colors Collection shingles. The just-launched "That's My Roof!" contest provides an opportunity for homeowners to show off their new roof makeovers and have a chance to win monthly prizes as well as the grand prize – a refund for the cost of their new roof!
"A roof is a valuable, smart investment, but it can also dramatically enhance the look of a home. Homeowners should absolutely LOVE the look of their new roof," said Sue Burkett, marketing manager for Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt. "'That's My Roof!' offers them the opportunity to show off their roof transformations. They might even also provide inspiration to other homeowners considering a new roof purchase," she said.
Owens Corning Duration® Series Designer Colors Collection shingles are available in seven vibrant color combinations and are meant to evoke feelings that match their names--from Summer Harvest to Sand Dune to Merlot. Five of the seven colors are available throughout the entire U.S. Whatever color homeowners select, they can rest easy knowing that all Duration® Series Designer Color Collection shingles come with SureNail® Technology for maximum performance and wind protection of up to 130-MPH winds.
In addition to a beautiful and high-performance roof, homeowners with a new Duration® Series Designer Colors Collection roof can enter the "That's My Roof!" contest to win:
- Monthly Prizes – At the end of every month, along with the public vote scoring, a judging panel will score each set of qualifying photos to award a monthly winner. Monthly winners will receive $500.
- The Cost of Your Roof Grand Prize – At the end of the five-month contest period, which runs June 5 – October 31, all five monthly winners will compete for the grand prize—a rebate for the cost of the roof up to $10,000! Public voting and a judging panel will determine the winner—to be announced by December 15, 2010.
