Focus on Four: Global Safety Awareness Program to Reduce Construction Accidents

Infrastructure Developments Corp. (OTCBB:IDVC) today announced that it and its subsidiary, Intelspec International, Inc., are creating and implementing a worldwide construction safety initiative called Focus on Four. The initiative burgeoned out of the outstanding safety record maintained on Intelspec’s projects in Thailand and Cambodia and the experience gained by individual safety officers and managers.

Focus on Four encompasses a training and awareness program based on four major accident risk areas in the construction industry: (i) falls, (ii) electrical hazards, (iii) vehicular and load accidents, and (iv) heavy equipment operations injuries. The plan includes safety briefings for all Infrastructure staff and subcontractors as well as a poster campaign to be used on all Infrastructure job sites worldwide. The plan was conceived by Intelspec’s Vice President for Operations, Darren Smith.

“Construction accidents account for a major portion of a company’s risk exposure,” stated Infrastructure’s CEO Thomas R. Morgan, “and we are determined to reduce that exposure through education and implementation.” Morgan said he hopes that other multinational construction firms, large and small, will follow the company’s lead and develop their own safety awareness campaigns. “It only takes a small accident to become a big problem; reducing or eliminating these accidents will go a long way to improving the bottom line.”

The safety awareness program is scheduled to go online in the coming month and continue throughout the year.
