URS Corporation (NYSE:URS) today announced the Company has been awarded a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for comprehensive technical design-build and construction services for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). The contract vehicle can be used by all other Bureaus within the Department of the Interior (DOI). Six contracts were awarded nationwide. Each of the six individual MATOC awards has a maximum value of $400 million over the contract period, which includes one base year and four option years.
Under the terms of the contract, URS can compete for, or be assigned, task orders to provide design-build, construction, analysis, administration and management services, and environmental, archeological and historical compliance services for a variety of facilities and structures to all bureaus within the DOI. In addition to USFWS, these bureaus include the National Park Service, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, U.S. Geological Survey, Minerals Management Service and the Office of Surface Mining.
