Phantom Screens®, North America’s leading provider of retractable screen solutions, introduces three new do-it-yourself (DIY) retractable door screens to its line of retractable screen solutions.
In 1992, Phantom Screens revolutionized the installed retractable screen market by not just selling products, but rather, selling a complete solution including design consultation, installation and superior on-going customer service.
Now, Phantom Screens has partnered with Seiki Screen Systems™ of Japan, one of the world`s largest manufacturers of retractable screens, to offer DIY customers a selection of high quality and easy to install retractable screens. Phantom has gone through research and product updates to ensure the company impacts the DIY market to the same degree as they have the installed market. A key component of Phantom’s DIY program is a dedicated customer toll-free helpline to handle any questions, provide replacement parts when necessary and offer assistance seven days a week.
The screens, manufactured by Seiki, are a perfect fit for price-conscious consumers who are planning to undertake their own renovation and home improvement projects. Boasting features such as left and right hand models, one-touch-latch technology and low threshold sills, these retractable screen solutions are true add-on, do-it-yourself products — in other words, nothing needs to be removed from existing doors to install any of the three products. These retractable screen doors can be adapted to single in-swing, single out-swing and double French doors.
“The door screen kits will include everything necessary for the installation of single and/or double door screens, and are backed by a limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty,” says Ron Somers, Phantom Screens vice president of sales and marketing. He adds: “Our goal is to do everything we can to make it easy for homeowners to install our DIY retractable screens in their homes. Phantom`s toll-free technical help-line and the ease of ordering replacement parts will all be part of assisting consumers make the process as simple as possible.”
Somers states that for Phantom, DIY retractable door screens are a logical addition to their existing line of fully installed & customizable product lines. “We are pleased to offer DIY products that meet Phantom’s high standards of quality at a competitive price for the do-it-yourself consumer,” added Somers. The relationship between Seiki and Phantom affords both companies the infrastructure to support the demands and needs of the entire retractable screen market category; which both companies state no other retractable screen provider can offer today.
Phantom’s DIY retractable door screens are available at Lowe’s locations across the US. Somers states: “We’ve been fortunate to work with partners like Lowe’s to provide Phantom`s installed door screens to consumers across the US for several years. Our new expanded product line will provide homeowners more choices for screening their doors. By offering both DIY and installed door screen solutions, we can help consumers find the right screen solutions that meet their specific screening needs and budget levels.”
