Baker Selected to Negotiate Indefinite Delivery Architect and Engineer Contract for USACE

Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Amex:BKR), announced today that it has been selected to negotiate a $45 million (estimated total amount) Indefinite Delivery architect/engineer contract for multidiscipline design and related services, nationwide, for the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The contract is for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. Upon award, Baker will provide planning, architectural, engineering, environmental, and construction support services at various locations for the USACE’s Engineering and Construction Support Office (ECSO). The ECSO primarily supports Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) programs nationwide.

Sam Darghous, P.E., assistant vice president and Baker’s Border Management Group leader, said, “This opportunity allows Baker to continue its strong support of ECSO and its partnership with DHS. Our commitment to these important clients and their dynamic, complex mission is steadfast and we look forward to meeting new challenges involved with projects performed under this contract.”

It also represents a significant step toward achieving our overall goals for growth within the federal market space.”
