Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/e94d62/the_future_of_cons) has announced the addition of the "The Future of Construction in Mexico" report to their offering.
This report is the result of WMIs extensive market, company and deals research covering the Mexican construction market. It provides detailed segmentation of historic and forecast construction sales, segmented to market and category level; analysis of the leading companies in the Mexican construction market and analysis of the key financial deals involving construction players in Mexico.
Growth in Leisure & Hospitality Buildings: Mexico's economic growth over the past 15 years has been supported largely by commercial tourism. This has led to a dramatic increase in the construction of leisure and hotel facilities. Although the economic decline worldwide has hampered the growth in the short term, the leisure & hospitality sector is expected to rebound with the growth of the economy.
In turn, this increase in commercial tourism has led to an increase in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) as businesses attempt to exploit a potentially lucrative market.
Mexico's National Infrastructure Program: President Felipe Calderon launched the National Infrastructure Program (NIP), a five-year program, in July 2007 to augment the coverage, quality, and competitiveness of Mexico's infrastructure. The NIP representing over US$141 billion to be financed using public-private partnerships, identified over 300 infrastructure projects in multiple sectors. The projects under NIP mainly focus on environment, transportation and energy sectors, most of which have start dates planned between 2008 and 2011. The program is expected to boost the growth in the infrastructure construction market in the coming years.
