As a new report by the Energy Saving Trust (EST) reveals that 80 per cent of people would like to be recommended more energy efficient products and services, the Energy Saving Trust welcomes the opportunity to exhibit, in conjunction with HHIC, at the first Installer Live exhibition at Telford on 5th-7th June.
We will be on hand at stand 278 with advice on industry issues and energy efficiency.
The report which examined the opinion and behaviour of consumers across the UK with regard to energy efficiency and climate change also revealed over half of consumers plan to spend more on energy efficient products and services over the next 12 months.
Nearly a quarter (22%) of people would also like to lead greener lives.
Richard Bawden, Trade Partnerships Manager at the Energy Saving Trust, said: “It is very encouraging to see that consumers are making smarter choices and looking for more sustainable solutions. It is crucial the industry responds to this demand and continues to promote and install energy efficient products.”
The Energy Efficiency Installer Certificate, provides an excellent grounding in energy efficiency for installers and helps them prepare for the changes to building regulations, which came into force in April. The one-day training and assessment session covers topics such as promoting energy efficient options to consumers.
