Lumber Liquidators (NYSE:LL), has announced the release of the "Floor Finder," a new iPhone® application that makes the flooring search both convenient and user friendly. The free app allows users access to nearly 200 digital samples right from their phone and brings the expertise of Lumber Liquidators, the largest specialty retailer of hardwood flooring in the U.S., into the hands of iPhone and iPod touch® users everywhere.

The highly functional app allows users to view flooring samples right on their handheld screen. This puts a wide variety of species, colors and styles at the users' fingertips without the need for bulky samples that end up being thrown away. Lumber Liquidators also gives app users flooring specs such as hardness, species and installation info. Additionally, the iPhone version has a "click to call" option to find the lowest price. Need to calculate flooring needs? The user can enter room dimensions into the "Materials Calculator," and the app will determine how much product is needed, including a waste factor.
"We wanted to help people find the perfect floor for their needs," says Tom Sullivan, founder of Lumber Liquidators. "With this new Floor Finder app, users can really compare a lot of options anywhere they carry their iPhone."
While selecting a floor can be overwhelming with so many options to choose from, the app saves the users' favorite flooring to a special section. So, even if a flooring project isn't in the plans for the near future, users can access some of their favorites whenever they are ready to move forward.
Ideas and Inspiration
Sometimes inspiration comes from seeing real customer makeovers. Users can check out the Customer Brag section within the app where Lumber Liquidators' customers can submit their before-and-after photos. If a user's photos are selected to be featured in the Brag area, that user will receive a free Bellawood Floor Care Kit from Lumber Liquidators.
Lumber Liquidators offers plenty of flooring varieties to choose from, including hardwood, bamboo, cork and laminate from premier brands such as Bellawood (featuring a 50-year warranty), Dream Home laminate, Schon engineered, Morning Star bamboo and Virginia Mill Works handscraped. The company keeps its costs down so that it can offer high-quality, name-brand flooring at the lowest prices possible. Once the perfect flooring is selected, the Floor Finder app directs users to the store locator to find the nearest Lumber Liquidators store. People who don't have access to the iPhone app can find product information, DIY tips and order samples online, via phone or in their local Lumber Liquidators store.
