FMI Corporation will offer a free seminar on “Improving Productivity in Your Construction Business” on Wednesday, February 17 at the AGC Regional Office in Atlanta, GA. This all-day event is designed for construction executives and managers of subcontracting firms, specialty contractors, road-building contractors, and general contractors. Dexter + Chaney, providers of Spectrum® Construction Software, and HardHat Technologies, construction business solution consultants, have teamed with FMI to present the seminar free of charge.
The February 17 seminar will explore methods and techniques for increasing the productivity of a construction business, as observed and implemented by the experts at FMI. Participants will learn how to identify the controllable variables that impact productivity and gain a solid understanding of the economics behind productivity. The seminar will highlight the importance of a three-part planning process, effective job cost, and production feedback. Measurement of process, behavior, and results as a tool for improving productivity will also be explored and discussed. The seminar will end with an implementation workshop, where attendees will have the chance to apply their productivity skills in a hands-on setting.
Dexter + Chaney and HardHat Technologies partnered with FMI to sponsor this event. HardHat Technologies president Jerry Helms explained why he believes the topic of the seminar will resonate with construction executives. “Any opportunity to improve the productivity of a business is valuable, especially given recent changes in the construction industry. I believe construction executives will leave this seminar with the information and ideas necessary to inspire a great increase in the productivity of their individual businesses.”
John Chaney, president of Dexter + Chaney, stated “Our mission statement starts off with the important principle that our client’s growth is the foundation of our success, and in that spirit we hope this seminar will inspire individuals to grow as industry leaders as their companies grow in productivity and profit.”
