NEW HOME GREEN MATERIALS AND LEARNING CENTER, the first sizable superstore chain of green building materials with a wholesale distribution, will launch its highly anticipated “Social Marketplace” website feature on February 1, 2010.
The new platform, developed exclusively by NEW HOME, is the first real digital hub to offer free green building advertising, classifieds, social linkage and networking, a vast library of educational documents, videos, and professional certification opportunities for contractors all over the US. In addition the site will include streaming webinars, instructional videos, teleconferencing and portals to key regulatory agencies.
“It is the first online platform directly linking green manufacturers, education providers and regulatory agencies with consumers, contractors and professionals. Consumers can put a project out for bid, professionals can advertise services on our classified ad network, get a project team together and live chat with other professionals plus find out what’s the latest on government rebates, incentives and regulations,” explained Rich Rifkin, NEW HOME CEO and Founder.
“Already in production for five months, we are populating initial content for the new website features through January and launch the platform to the public February 1, 2010. By late March our products will be made available via the web – about 200,000 green building materials meta-rated and easy to source,” Rifkin added.
Set to launch on February 1, the free services will include:
- Manufacturer Product Training
- Classifieds for Consumers and Professionals
- Professional Certification (LEED AP, GPR, etc)
- Blogs, News, RSS Feeds
- User Uploaded Documents and Videos
- Post and Watch Live Streaming Seminars From Around the World
- Webinars (Attend or create your own)
- Building Permit and Application (Chat online with local building officials)
- Laws, Ordinances, Regulations and Incentives
- Social Networking Opportunities
