GreenWizard, LLC – a web-based “expert system” for architects, engineers, and contractors to spec, purchase, and document LEED-point-eligible green building products – today announced a new green-product database initiative.
GreenWizard has opened its online green-product database so that building product manufacturers (BPMs) can post, describe, and offer documentation for LEED-point-eligible products. Today, for no charge, BPMs can access a web-based database tool to post green product listings in GreenWizard’s free public database.
By accessing this growing database, buyers (especially the AEC community) can spec, document, and purchase (through eRFP & ePurchase) the greenest alternative products. Already, the architects, engineers, and contractors responsible for more than $250,000,000 in green building are eager to access GreenWizard to search for and analyze LEED-point-eligible products.
BPMs can access the GreenWizard interactive database tool at www.GreenWizard.com, or arrange to send appropriately formatted files to GreenWizard’s staff.
No other green product database exists with these capabilities.
“In good and bad economies, building product manufacturers are eager to capture business, and through GreenWizard they can access a highly sophisticated green customer base,” said Jerry Lepore, President and COO of GreenWizard. “If manufacturers simply post their products’ green attributes, supporting documentation, and LEED point eligibility, GreenWizard will give them entre’ into a world of knowledgeable buyers, who are eager to spec green alternative products.”
