Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract to provide architect and engineer (A-E) design services for the Federal Aviation Administration's EnRoute Facilities Planning and Modernization Program.
The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract includes a 60-month base period and two two-year options, making the total contract nine years in duration if all options are exercised.
The total contract value is $99 Million.
The EnRoute Facilities Planning and Modernization Program enables the FAA to upgrade and modernize the nation's critical air traffic control infrastructure in response to new air traffic control technologies, and to support key business initiatives such as the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen).
Jacobs will provide A-E design and related services, including all necessary labor, material, equipment, services, and facilities to support the National Airspace System (NAS), Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs), Combined EnRoute Radar Approach Control Facilities (CERAPs) at San Juan and Guam, and other FAA owned, operated, or sponsored facilities.
Other services include strategic planning and program management; soil investigations; field surveys and studies; environmental impact data collection; and existing buildings and structural investigation.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Tom McDuffie said, "Jacobs is delighted to be selected for this important contract, which allows us to continue our successful client relationship with the FAA in the design of facilities that support the nation's air traffic control system. This is indeed a testimonial to the quality of our work and the relationship that Jacobs has built with the FAA over the years."
