Flame Seal Products Receives Endorsement of United Subcontractors at USI Conference

Flame Seal Products, Inc. announces it has received the exclusive endorsement of USI (United Subcontractors, Inc.), a major consortium of 45+ Spray Foam Insulation contracting firms, formalized at a USI Conference at the Phoenix Hilton Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

Cliff Haskins, Marketing Director of SPI and Michael Kiser, President of Flame Seal were invited to the conference to do a presentation for the 45 Companies in attendance, to provide product information, technical data, certifications, application instructions, and answer questions from attendees. The two day conference culminated with the 45 minute presentation, highlighted by a live fire demonstration of the product which ended the conference with congratulations and hand-shakes all round. Mike Kiser elaborates:

“Fellow Flame Seal shareholders… This may prove to be the defining moment in our (SPI and Flame Seal) effort to solidify Flame Seal-TB as the accepted Gold Standard of the Foam Insulation Industry. The primary reason is, while our successful efforts to establish testing and certifications cooperation with all major manufacturers will result in providing a solution for the customers, this endorsement by the highest profile Contractor group in the U.S. represents a “call to action”. These are the guys who make this happen, and that is the final piece of the puzzle in our battle plan to effectively capture the entire market. I cannot sing the praises of USI enough, as they are an extremely organized, professional group… which is why, as their top manager explained to me, this took almost a year, as they carefully studied the market, companies claiming to have competitive products, as well as testing our product thoroughly from the Contractor/Applicators’ perspective. He then said that it is now clear to them that Flame Seal-TB is the only choice, so they invited us to this educational conference to teach the group about our product. Not to sell it, but teach… because the USI group of companies all use the same products recommended by USI. For example, all USI Contractors currently use either Bayer or BASF foam. Now, they will add Flame Seal-TB to their list of recommended products. Since Flame Seal-TB currently has ICC Certifications over Bayer SPUF, USI supports the use of the coating for that particular foam by USI Contractors. When Flame Seal receives ICC Certifications over BASF foam, USI will expand the recommendation to that application as well.

“By the way, they were a very enthusiastic group, who, after they saw the fire demo outside, were all saying how thankful and excited they were to finally have such a product! In fact, they were so impressed with the demo, they practically accused me of being a magician! Now THAT’s a compliment!!!

“Another very important piece of news regarding the PKOTC disclosures. Between the latest surprise development with USI and a major contract agreed to and pending signature with the leader in the leather tanning industry – to be announced when executed, I am fighting again with time to get it all done. (I am writing this on a plane in transit to meetings in WA with SPI, then testing in San Antonio.) Still, we have the financials and disclosures almost complete. We are currently adding the two new items mentioned here. It is additional work incorporating a new contract and its ramifications in with the other contracts our forecasts are now based upon. Nonetheless, everything will be reviewed next week, and submitted to PKOTC as soon as humanly possible, at which time we’ll make that press release, too.
