AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide project, design and construction management as well as construction supervision for the Masdar Institute Neighborhood (MIN) development in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.
Masdar City is a 1,729-acre, US$22-billion development and the future home of the International Renewable Energy Agency. It is designed to be a carbon-neutral, zero-waste city.

AECOM’s contract fee was not disclosed.
In order to meet its sustainability objectives, the MIN development will use 100% renewable energy sources, advanced design and technology integration of building and infrastructure systems, and a fundamental shift in day-to-day behavior towards maintaining a sustainable community.
The MIN development is adjacent to the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology and will include residential, hospitality, commercial and retail developments as well as parks and playgrounds.
