Harco Metal Products (Harco), an industry leader in tube fabrication, systems integration, and seamless, cost effective manufacturing, announced today that it has received ISO9001 certification.
ISO9001 certification, part of the ISO9000 family of standards for Quality Management Systems, was awarded after rigorous independent auditing based on an extensive review of Harco's facilities, functions, products, services, and processes. Certification confirms that formalized business systems have been applied to the management and execution of Harco's work environment.
ISO certification requirements are intended to facilitate customer satisfaction through consistently enhanced products and services that meet customer expectations. Additionally, a requirement is included for planned, continual improvement of Harco's Quality Management System.
Before receiving certification from Great Western Registrar, Harco demonstrated processes for numerous ISO requirements, including:
- Providing a set of procedures that cover all key processes within the business
- Process-monitoring to ensure effectiveness
- Full record keeping
- Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action if necessary
- Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness
- Facilitating continual improvement
"There are several business advantages to becoming ISO certified," said Harco President and Founder Jay Hall, "Receiving certification creates more efficient, effective operations, reduces waste, increases productivity, enhances employee awareness, and [most importantly] increases customer satisfaction and retention," Hall continued. "ISO guidelines provide a comprehensive model for quality management systems that only serves to enhance our already competitive business structure."
