In 2010 Hurd has their sights set on changing one thing. That one thing is to expand the market perception of the Hurd brand from a widely recognized new construction custom wood window manufacturer to also win the mindset of remodelers.
"The perception of our company is that we specialize in new construction wood windows; however, we do so much more than that," began Dominic Truniger, President of HWD Acquisition. "Hurd also custom crafts windows that transform thousands of homeowners' remodeling vision into reality each year. Manufacturing replacement wood windows is nothing new to us, but actively promoting them is."
To lead the company in evolving its replacement window brand awareness, Hurd is pleased to announce the promotion of David Porter as their new Channel Manager of R&R. Porter, who had been Hurd's central region sales manager, has more than three decades of sales and marketing experience within the fenestration industry. In his new role, he will oversee the development of all products, marketing, distribution, and programs focused on the R&R segment.
Echoing Truniger, Porter adds, "Hurd windows and doors are already well suited for the R&R segment. Our hallmarks of unlimited options, custom capabilities, fine furniture quality, and depth of products gets us there. Now we just need to shine the spotlight on our offering to win the hearts and mindset of remodelers on a more far-reaching scale and make our brand synonymous with their window needs." Porter also adds that additional R&R product innovations are already in the works from the company including a cross over version of Hurd's award-winning H3(TM) window platform.
Hurd will kick off their R&R focus at The International Builders' Show on January 19-22, 2010 in Las Vegas, booth C2465.
