EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that its EMCOR Government Services unit has received a contract from NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center for facilities operations and maintenance services at the Dryden Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, California and at the NASA facilities in Palmdale, California.
The contract, which commenced on October 1, 2009, is for an initial nine-month period, with options permitting NASA to extend the contract period through September 30, 2011.
EMCOR Government Services’ (EGS) scope of work includes the development of a quality Reliability Centered Maintenance program and the program’s integration into NASA’s Computerized Maintenance Management System. Additional EGS responsibilities include providing preventive maintenance services, minor facilities repairs, grounds-keeping services, and janitorial services.
Dryden is NASA’s primary alternative space shuttle landing facility and provides orbital support for the International Space Station.
