Jupiter Realty Company today announced the "topping off" of their 50-story apartment tower in Chicago's Loop. Don Smith, a Jupiter principal, noted "the pouring of the 50th and final floor of the 389-unit building marks a significant milestone in the construction process for what is on track to become the newest and one of the few LEED certified high-rise rental residences in Chicago and the first apartment building to be built in the central Loop in 15 years."
Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz, a Chicago-based architectural firm recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in the design of urban high-rise residential buildings, 215 West will feature eco-friendly features and amenities including Energy Star® rated appliances, water-saving plumbing fixtures, sustainable and eco-friendly construction and finish materials and a 23,000 square-foot green roof.
Jupiter Communities, the management and leasing firm for 215 West, plans to commence preleasing before the end of this year. Models will be available for tours and the first units are expected to be ready for move-in beginning in early Spring 2010. Stanton Interior Concepts, Inc., an interior design firm headquartered in Chicago, is leading the interior design of 215 West's stylish models and amenity areas.
"With construction nearing completion, 215 West is well on its way to becoming a premier green living choice for those who want convenient access to their places of work and the city's amenities while at the same time living a healthy and ecologically conscious lifestyle," said Kellie DeVilbiss, president of Jupiter Communities.
