Northern Virginia's Habitat for Humanity Hosts Events to Encourage Local Involvement

Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia continues to make a lasting impact in the community. There will be three events hosted in the next week to encourage involvement with the local Habitat affiliate to support the mission to provide safe, decent and affordable homes for low income families in Northern Virginia.

What: Annual Habitat Benefit Breakfast

When: Friday, October 23, 2009, 7:45 - 8:45 am

Where: Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington

A homeowner will speak and tell her story of life transformation since becoming a Habitat homeowner. Habitat will also unveil its plans to build a new condominium complex in Arlington. What: Grand opening celebration at the new Habitat ReStore

When: Saturday, October 24, 2009, 9 am

Where: 4262 Entre Court, Chantilly, VA

Special ribbon cutting ceremony will include local guests including Fairfax Supervisor Michael Frey.

What: Habitat ReStore in Alexandria - 5 year anniversary

When: Saturday, October 24, 2009, 11am

Where: 7770 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA, 22306

The event will feature a special appearance by TV/Radio Personality, Jeannie "Kitty of the City" Jones.

There will be food and music at both of the ReStore events and everything in the store is 10% off!
