Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation Partners with Moen in Support of Affordable Housing and Home Ownership in the Hispanic Community

Moen and the Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) are joining forces in support of more affordable housing and home ownership in the Hispanic community. Moen, the leading bath and kitchen fixtures brand in North America, is committed to helping Hispanic families achieve the American dream of owning their home and access to affordable housing through its national program “AlcanzandoSueños con Moen.”
Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) is a prominent not-for-profit community organization with an impressive 25-year history, serving 8,000 residents a year through a comprehensive array of community service programs and neighborhood development projects.
WHAT:
Join CHLDC’s Executive Director Michelle Neugebauer and Moen at a press conference to kick off their partnership in solidarity during Hispanic Heritage Month. Through the AlcanzandoSueños con Moen program, Moen will donate state-of-the-art bath and kitchen fixtures for two major CHLDC housing developments projects: Liberty Apartments, 43 energy efficient affordable rental apartments and Glenmore Grove, 12 highly attractive condominiums over four townhouse buildings located in Brooklyn. Partnering with CHLDC and donating products will help to assuage the costs associated with the development of the homes. Among the government officials expected to attend the event include Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. Councilman Erik Martin Dilan (D-37th Dist.) and Rick Miranda, President of the Brooklyn Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
