Specifying and building the correct roofing system is a fundamental consideration of any building project. To ease this process, Marley Roofing has launched three new specification programs on its website, enabling specifiers, builders’ merchants and contractors to select the right roofing products and systems for the job.
The first program, named SpecRite, has been developed to allow specifiers to instantly generate National Building Specification (NBS) clauses, in compliance with British Standards. Quick and easy to operate, users input their relevant project information, such as degree of roof pitch and the type of tile required, select which clauses are needed and SpecRite will provide an instant fixing specification.
TileFix, the second program, has been designed for those roofing contractors, builders’ merchants and self-builders who require details on how to correctly install Marley Roofing’s products and systems. Installation depends on many factors, such as the geographical location of the site and wind loads for example, but TileFix takes into consideration all of these factors to provide a reliable fixing guide. For those builders’ merchants and self-builders who require a complete bill of materials for their roofing project, the final program, Estimator, offers the facility to calculate exactly that.
By answering a series of simple questions in relation to the specific project requirements, users can receive an estimate instantly, with minimum effort and completely hassle free. Launched on February 1st the development of these services represents the latest in a series of on-line innovations from Marley Roofing, all of which have helped to develop the Marley Roofing website into a comprehensive source of relevant information for the Roofing Industry.
Paul Reed, Head of Marketing, commented: “Marley Roofing has always been proud of the support it provides to customers and the development of this on-line resource facility represents the next stage in our commitment to supplying that support. These new on-line programs will enable customers to easily access information and make calculations that would otherwise be a lot more difficult and time consuming.” For further information on Marley’s on-line technical software please visit www.marleyroofing.co.uk.
