Further establishing Blach Construction as one of the leading program and construction managers in northern California, the firm announced today that it was recently selected by the Millbrae School District to provide planning and program management services for the renovation of multiple projects.
The $30 million program, part of the Measure X bond passed by voters in 2008, will improve student safety and comfort as well as campus access throughout the District. Currently in preconstruction, projects include upgrades to heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, technology, roofing and accessibility.
"This is an exciting venture that the District is undertaking, and we foresee a successful working partnership with Blach Construction," said Chief Business Official for the District Cynthia Shieh. "Their expertise and experience, which is of the highest quality in renovation and modernization projects, is well suited to meet the District's needs."
The Millbrae School District is a K-8 elementary school district located in northern San Mateo County, adjacent to the San Francisco airport. The program will assist the District in its efforts to foster its student's love of learning, academic excellence and focus on success.
"We are excited by the opportunity to work with the Millbrae School District as its program manager for the Measure X bond program," said Blach Program Executive Paul Kehoe, LEED AP. "The Blach team looks forward to collaborating with the administration to develop and implement the District's strategic goals."
