Announcing Ann Arbor Location
iscg Workplace Design and Furnishings, headquartered in Royal Oak, Michigan, recently opened an office and showroom space in Ann Arbor at 601 E. University. The company established this location to support its Washtenaw County-based clients, including the University of Michigan, and to help organizations create high-performance workspaces needed for today’s new economy.
As Michigan reinvents itself, workspace design is a key ingredient to the transformation. Michigan companies need to create environments that inspire creativity and innovation and also attract new-industry workers.
According to iscg CEO, Mary Ann Lievois, “Work environments and workspaces must reflect a company’s culture since culture is what drives organizational success. Cultures influence the behavior of staff members and, in this way, they influence the way a company performs.”
According to Lievois, there's been a departure from traditional big, private offices to open areas with more collaborative spaces that can be reconfigured as organizations evolve. Many organizations neglect to consider the impact of workspace design on performance but, in reality, well-planned workspaces enable organizations to accomplish goals most efficiently.
As part of its Ann Arbor presence, iscg is located in the “Innovatrium,” and aligned with Competing Values, a consulting firm focused on creating collaborative, innovative capabilities and cultures of high performance. By utilizing their expertise, iscg is able to design work environments to reflect a client’s culture.
