Technology and Construction to be Built by Mivan

Mivan has won an £8m fit-out contract from Carillion for the building which will house the Technology and Construction Court.

The 12-month contract for the Rolls Building in the City of London covers the interior fit-out from the lower Ground Floor to Level 5.

The work includes the supply and installation of acoustic partitions and door sets; floor finishes; suspended ceilings; bespoke joinery items to include tea points, wardrobes, shelving; judges’ benches & interview counters and balustrades. The majority of the joinery items will be manufactured off-site. Mivan will complete the fit-out by October 2010.

Carillion is main contractor on the £70m job. Client is developer Delancey and Invista Real Estate. The building will house the Chancery, Commercial as well as the TCC jurisdictions of the High Court.

It is named after the old Rolls House which stood on site, later renamed as the Public Records Office.
