YHC 300 OG Offers High Performance, Weather Resistant Aluminum System for Floating Sales Office
YKK AP America, the leader in manufacturing high quality architectural products, is today recognized with Glass Magazine’s 2009 Crystal Achievement Award for Most Innovative Curtain Wall Application for its use of the YHC 300 Outside Glazed (OG) curtain wall in the Lazzara Yachts floating sale office. Made of glass, steel and fiberglass, the YHC 300 OG protects the 3,800 square foot vessel from cyclical pressure and projectile impacts associated with hurricane force winds. Selected out of more than 170 nominees, the award win reinforces YKK AP America’s offering of high-performing, impact-resistant aluminum fenestration systems.
Selected by a panel of judges representing all segments of the glass industry, the Crystal Achievement Award recognizes significant innovations and achievements in the commercial, retail and fabrication markets. Part of the YKK AP Protek Glazing System product line, the YHC 300 OG is designed and engineered to meet the toughest standards for hurricane building codes while withstanding thermal movement, deflection, air infiltration and water infiltration.
“The 2009 winners reflect the creativity and vision necessary to meet the increasingly sophisticated demands of the marketplace,” said Nicole Harris, publisher, Glass Magazine.
“It is an honor to be recognized with this prestigious award – a true testament to the dedication of our team,” said Mike Turner, vice president of marketing for YKK AP America. “We are thrilled to be part of this highly innovative project, with the YHC 300 OG’s successful implementation serving as a prime example of how we cater to customer demands. With each of our products, we strive to deliver the best in architectural technology and look forward to continuing to push the envelope for the industry.”
