Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN is pleased to announce the opening of Medical Pavilion at Howard County, a five-story, 167,000 square foot medical office building at the Johns Hopkins Howard County Hospital in Columbia, Maryland.
This facility represents a new standard for collaborative medical delivery in the community. There are thirteen medical practices, including 90 physicians/dentists, providing medical care at the facility, with support services that include the Johns Hopkins laboratory, Johns Hopkins Outpatient Pharmacy, a cafe and HCGH Wellness Center.
Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN delivered the project under an integrated design/build contract working with Mackenzie Commercial Real Estate services, LLC as project developer and lease administrator. A group of local physicians and Howard County General Hospital, A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine partnered on the ownership and operations of Medical Pavilion, which hosted a ribbon cutting and reception on Thursday, September 24, 2009.

The facility, built with the environment in mind, is registered with The United States Green Building Council with a goal of Silver Certification status for Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). This is the largest LEED-applied Silver facility in the state of Maryland.
