Third Edition of the EVACES'09

Wroc³aw University of Technology (WUT) together with Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées (LCPC) in co-operation with IABSE and IABMAS, have pleasure to announce the next edition of the International Conference on Experimental Vibration Analysis for Civil Engineering Structures - EVACES'09.

After successful two previous editions in 2005 at Bordeaux (France) and in 2007 at Porto (Portugal) it has become a good tradition to organize this "dynamic" event every second year in October. This time EVACES'09 will be held at the Campus of WUT in the city of Wroc³aw (Poland) on October 14th - 16th, 2009.

New civil engineering structures are getting larger and more complex while the existing structures are getting older and exhausted but the demand of the society is to keep the structural safety, serviceability conditions and durability for all of these structures on the same higher and higher level. And this is the field where vibration based structural assessment, monitoring and control of civil engineering structures show their importance and usefulness - what is very well perceived by researchers, designers and construction companies. But the significant technological improvement of measurement equipments, structure materials and theoretical formulations require ongoing discussion, updated information and exchange and share views and experiences related to the measurement, the data processing and the use of experimental vibration analysis for civil engineering structures. The third edition of EVACES conference will be this kind of a forum for practitioners and researchers.
