Custom Moulding Changes the Look of Mansion for 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' Movie

When Hollywood needed to provide some movie magic to transform a the grounds of a historic home in the newly released film, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, one of the accessories was a custom-made mould from ZaGO Flexible Trims & Mouldings.

Filmmakers Mark Waters and Jon Shestack installed a temporary circular driveway with a fountain as its centerpiece on the grounds of Crane Castle, a 59-room Stuart-style mansion overlooking Ipswich Bay north of Boston. Avery Pix., Inc., a leading Hollywood, CA-based production company, ordered 18 pieces of ZaGO's Trim EZ custom-made flexible mouldings to encircle the fountain to change the look of the outside of the mansion, which is part of the 2,100 acre Crane estate and a National Historic Landmark.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is a romantic comedy starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and two-time Oscar winner Michael Douglas. Based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, McConaughey stars as a notorious womanizer who attends his brother's wedding and is forced to re-evaluate his behavior as he comes face-to-face with the ghosts of girlfriends past, present and future, along with his deceased uncle (Douglas). The experience changes his attitude and allows him to reconnect with his first and only love, played by Garner.

The New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. movie has grossed more than $32 million in its first two weeks of release.

Trim EZ Pro Series flexible trims and mouldings are available to contractors, builders, remodelers, millwork companies, window manufacturers and installers, and cabinet makers through lumberyards across the country. "It is very exciting that millions of people see our work in a major movie," said ZaGO president Zahavy Rottenstrich. "More importantly, it is a great example of our product applications and how we continue to meet the needs of our customers."
