Tru Tech Doors, a Canadian door manufacturer, today formally announced their expansion into the U.S. market. Launched in 1998, Tru Tech Doors produces more than 250,000 residential and industrial door products a year at three facilities in the Toronto area.
"We have been enjoying strong growth, despite the recession, so we felt it was the right time to take our product to the U.S.," said John Careri President, CEO and founder of Tru Tech Doors.
An auctioneer, selling the production equipment and facility recently closed by a leading door manufacturer in Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg Virginia, contacted Tru Tech right at the time the company was looking for a U.S. base to service customers on the East Coast.
Tru Tech purchased the facility and equipment, and hired many of the experienced and skilled employees who were scheduled to lose their jobs. By hiring the skilled staff, Tru Tech will ensure the production of quality steel-edge doors and steel frames from day one. It is expected that the number of employees will increase to 200 over the next two years as production grows.
The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Tru Tech Doors USA will be held Wednesday July 8th in Fredericksburg VA.
The U.S. division will be called Tru Tech Doors USA.
Tru Tech Doors produce a line of quality exterior doors and door systems that are the next best thing to custom. Tru Tech Doors have a large portfolio of features that make the difference, and that puts them in a league of their own. The culture at Tru Tech is all about a passionate commitment to producing the highest-quality, most beautiful and stylish doors.
"We want to give our customers a real alternative to what's on the market today," said Careri. "We are confident that once a customer sees our doors with their distinctive mouldings, premium paint finish, unique glass inserts and custom hardware, they will make it their preferred door."
