The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is warning homeowners in Texas about toxic Chinese drywall, in 1000's of new homes built since 2004, in the metro areas of Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and other Texas cities. According to the group, "we have already found toxic Chinese drywall in subdivisions in Houston, & Austin, Texas, in substantial quantities, and we are convinced there is a lot more, in these, and other Texas subdivisions."
What should Texas homeowners be on the look out with respect to having toxic Chinese drywall in their homes? According to the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center," Texas homes with toxic Chinese drywall typically have had more than one air conditioning coil failure, the electrical receptacle copper ground wires have turned black, and many homeowners have experienced computer, DVD, refrigerator failures, microwave failures, all combined with medical issues." The medical issue include upper respiratory problems, headaches, bleeding noses, rashes, and breathing issues.
