The look of brass just got more affordable. For ages home owners, remodelers and builders have enjoyed the look of brass floor registers and floor grilles for their heat registers, but these classic looking items came at a relatively high price. The Reggio Register Co. of Leominster, MA, manufacturer and distributor of high quality grilles and registers for forced air and high velocity systems for over 30 years, has just introduced a new line of grilles made of aluminum and powder-coated to closely resemble brass. While there are many benefits to the new aluminum floor grates, the biggest is the cost savings.
"We have been in the business of providing quality registers and grilles for a long time," shares president Mike Reggio. "We pride ourselves in the quality of our product and the diversity of our offerings to cover all needs, with hundreds of sizes and styles. Turning to gold powder-coated aluminum as a good alternative to classic brass was an economic decision as well as a practical one. Aluminum is lightweight and rust proof and the gold powder-coated pieces are very attractive. We're always happy when we can offer our customers more options and a wider range of prices."
It is common to find ornamental heating grates in older homes. As these homes are remodeled, replacement grates are needed, often in irregular sizes. The Reggio Register Company offers hundreds of sizes, shapes, styles and materials. And the stylish grates are no longer just for older homes - new homes are choosing to use stylish grilles with modern heat sources or for purely decorative uses. Reggio Register sells scroll metal grilles, square metal grates, wooden grilles, high velocity outlets, recessed radiation systems and louver assemblies.
