UK lighting manufacturer LiteLED has released the SL Series linear LED luminaire, a strip light that is smaller, longer lasting, and provides superior task efficiency compared to the neon or fluorescent lamps commonly used today. The SL Series was designed to address the specific demands of under-cabinet, cove and refrigeration lighting applications.
LiteLED was able to achieve a very slim profile—just 10mm—by using LUXEON Rebel and LUXEON K2 LEDs from Philips Lumileds. These highly efficient LEDs enable the SL Series luminaires to deliver task efficiencies comparable to those of a standard T5 fluorescent fixture.
“LED-based lighting has already replaced incandescent lights in many applications,” said Andrew Littler, Marketing Director of LiteLED. “We think our LUXEON-based SL products are now ready to take on fluorescent and neon in cove and under-cabinet lighting. The SL Series is not just better than fluorescent and neon for power efficiency, or for size, or for lifetime – it's far better on all three counts.”
New solutions are longer lasting and easier than ever to use. The LUXEON-based SL Series is lifetime-rated for replacement at 60,000 hours. Using the SL Series is as easy as plugging it in, turning it on, and enjoying fabulous bright white light, or any color you want.
The SL Series is available in lengths of 300mm, 600mm, 900mm and 1.200mm. The product has an IP67 rating, making it suitable for interior and exterior use, and can be dimmed. Multiple lengths may be joined together for a maximum length of 10 meters.
The SL Series is available directly from LiteLED or through authorised distributors – see LiteLED's website www.liteled.co.uk for more information.
