PANalytical (Almelo, The Netherlands) is pleased to announce that renowned Dutch scientist and diffraction analysis pioneer, Dr. Hugo Rietveld, will be the keynote speaker on the first day of the 2009 Building Materials Analysis workshop to be held at the Martin Luther University, Halle, Germany.
The three-day event (24-26 March 2009) will focus on the application of the Rietveld method to cement quality, production efficiency and environmental control. A series of presentations from academic and industry experts will discuss these important applications and offer practical experience.
In addition, several speakers will outline the use and benefits of emerging analytical approaches, such as cluster analysis, for materials research and process control.
Halle-Wittenberg is a superb location for the conference. The Martin Luther University has a long tradition in the natural sciences of chemistry, physics and mathematics. In addition to the conference program, participants have the opportunity to visit Nebra, the site of the bronze-age sky disc – the oldest depiction of the universe known to man. This is the fourth Building Materials Analysis Conference and is part of PANalytical’s practical commitment to the X-ray analysis community.
