The Building Centre is the worlds largest permanent exhibition and single source of information for the construction industry. It is the established focal point covering all aspects of architecture and design, construction and planning, home improvement, DIY and self build. For more than seventy years it has remained at the heart of the industry and today plays host to many important events, receiving more than 100,000 visitors and delegates throughout the year.
Established in 1931, The Building Centre provides Product Exhibitions in London and Information Services to the professions and building component producers and suppliers. In 1952 it moved to its present location in Store Street where it occupies a purpose built exhibition centre. Its sphere of business also includes a Bookshop, Internet Bookshop, Conference Suites and Market Research facilities.
The Building Centre is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Building Centre Trust which was established in 1963 as an independent charitable organisation. Its purpose is to provide support for educational, research and cultural activities connected with the building environment. It occupies a central position, providing an opportunity for all sectors to work together for the benefit of the construction industry and those it serves. The Trust derives its income from investments and from profits made by the Building Centre.
The Building Centre is located at the heart of London's West End in Store Street, off Tottenham Court Road.
