Looking for a unique, eco-friendly gift for your loved ones this holiday season? Look no further, the Pharox LED bulb is here.
The Pharox is a lightbulb based on LED technology that looks like a stylish update to the traditional incandescent bulb, yet uses 90% less energy (based on a 40Watt incandescent). That means you can save up to $270 in usage costs over its lifetime!
"LED bulbs are on the rise as the green bulbs of the future and the replacement for incandescent and CFLs. Lighting consumes 20% of the world's electricity. If every American household switched four 40Watt light bulbs to Pharox lights, America would save $113 billion in energy costs over the lifetime of the Pharox bulbs. This year, give the gift that gives back -- not only in cost-savings to the recipient, but in energy-savings for the environment," said Frans Otten, chairman of Lemnis Lighting.
How long does the Pharox LED bulb last? More than 15 years or 50,000 hours. In contrast, incandescent bulbs last just 1,000 hours while the curly CFL bulbs have a relatively short life span of only 5,000 hours.
The Pharox LED bulb produces a soft, warm light without getting hot, and works with any standard lamp or lighting fixture in your home or office. It uses only four watts of energy compared to seven watts used by a CFL bulb, and emits 2.69 kg of CO2 compared to 4.70 kg emitted by a CFL bulb.
Unlike CFL bulbs, the Pharox LED bulb contains no mercury and is entirely recyclable. In addition, it provides instant light and is the newest, most technologically advanced lighting solution available.
