Today, a Chile-based crystalline lagoon inventor and patent owner officially announces its presence of the state-of-the-art technology to Asian audiences at the third edition of MIPIM Asia, the world's property market in Asia.
This advanced technology was first demonstrated at the San Alfonso del Mar resort complex, in the coastal town of Algarrobo in central Chile out of a desire to create idyllic beach life in locations unlikely one can aim for beach life. The waters, extracted from the Pacific Ocean, remain warm and crystal clear.
Fernando Fischmann, the inventor and also a biochemist at Universidad de Chile, explains, "Our technology not only promote an ecological balance among all living organisms, it also utilizes a low energy filtration system and uses a pulse-based disinfection method which requires up to 100 times less chemical products compared to conventional pool system".
This specially-designed system that removes color-altering natural contaminants, then recirculates and replaces water as per predefined parameters. Fischmann conducted this research for a decade to improve the technology that allows the low-cost design, construction and maintenance of unlimited volumes of crystal clear water. The process employs no filtration and reaches a degree of purification that makes the water safe even for human consumption. Fischmann's patented method uses special equipment to bind, then suction off waterborne particles -- at one-fiftieth the maintenance cost of regular pools.
This new Chilean technology is spreading around the world. It has been adopted in real estate projects including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
