On 25 September Jewers Doors will launch its new Swift door system at the DHF AGM - the outcome of 25 years' experience and thousands of man-hours of development. Part of the Phoenix range of industrial doors, the new Swift bi-fold door has many upgraded features while retaining the advantages of its original design.
Designed specifically with the needs of the industrial door market in mind the new Swift is also architecturally pleasing. The new Swift has many added safety features, areas where cost reductions can be made on installation and has made steps towards a greener door. The use of CFC-free foam and a reduction in production processes helps the door towards a greener footprint. And safety features such as optical safety edges, thru-beams, and 100 per cent finger and top trap protection make this one of the safest doors on the market.
The door is highly insulated and a choice of drive systems allow the door to open or close within 7 seconds, which means the minimum of cooled or heated air is lost, thus reducing energy consumption and improving the carbon footprint of the building it is in.
Mark Jewers, Phoenix Director, said: "We listened to our distributors and end user customers and have made numerous improvements in the areas of speed of operation, safety, installation and maintenance costs, and environmental impact". "I believe the new Swift is the apogee of industrial door design," he added.
